The side from the banks of the Tisa were forced to take the field with ten players, and without a goalkeeper, whose place Zmukić filled with some success. The hosts were not at full strength either, but at least they had eleven. The imbalance did not have a great bearing on the match, as on the whole two evenly matched sides fought it out. Sever scored first in the 27th minute, when Zmukić, for all his efforts, could not stop a Temunović shot. Sever held the upper hand until half-time.
After the break, in the 52nd minute, Sever had a corner and the ball went in off Buljovčić's head to make it 2:0. In the 58th minute a fine move by the Sever forwards ended in a scramble in front of the Senta goal and Pasztor bundled the ball in from two metres. The ten men of Senta kept fighting with spirit and pulled one back in the 66th minute, Potpara heading in a Farago cross. Stojanović made the final score 4:1. Overall it was not a match of any great quality.
