In a combative match played at a good pace the visitors offered more than hosts who were casual and error-prone. Horgoš were especially direct in the first half, beating the home goalkeeper twice - in the 4th and 44th minutes - while Stepanov replied for Senta in the 42nd.

After the break the hosts made two substitutions, and their attacks became somewhat more dangerous. They then went a man down when Durkulić received a second yellow card, but Gvozdenović equalised all the same in the 86th minute.
