The Bečej crowd and the few hundred supporters who travelled with Senta expected far more from the match. There were few dangerous chances and all the more rough play, and after only a quarter of an hour the referee sent off a player from each side for unsporting conduct.
The only goal came in the 40th minute, when Božić capitalised on a defensive mistake. After the break the hosts pressed, but without result. Senta finished the championship in first place, with 21 wins, 11 draws and only two defeats, and were promoted to the higher level. Voros and Bakaić stood out for Senta.
