The leaders had more luck in Senta - Senta vs. Sever (86/87)

In essence the league leaders did not play much better than their hosts and owed their win more to luck. The hosts had just as many clear chances, but their finishing let them down. The first dangerous shot came from Mazak as early as the 2nd minute, the ball whistling inches past Vojnić's goal. Sever replied with counter-attacks, and in the 31st minute Ristić headed in a Zajović cross. The hosts meanwhile regrouped, and in the 40th minute Đurović missed a clear chance.

The match was a little more watchable in the second half. The hosts came out with two fresh players and more accurate passing, and equalised in the 48th minute: from a free kick Đurović picked out Kitli in a scoring position and he headed past a surprised Vojnić. The home joy lasted only two minutes, as a fatal defensive error let Ristić score his second with ease. On the balance of play a draw would have been fair.
