After the setback against Potisje, an under-strength Senta really rose to the occasion this time. Buza, Totabonji and a few other good players were missing, but the will and wholehearted fight of every player still brought a result. The win was secured by half-time: goals from Šetalo and then Kaplar made it 2:0, and the third was an own goal, though really Kaplar's doing too, for in one attack he so flustered the defender Farago that the latter could only clear with a back-pass, and goalkeeper Zemko was not alert.
After the break the hosts took the initiative and, helped by poor refereeing, pulled back to 3:2, one of the goals coming from a penalty. In the closing moments the referee sent Kaplar off. Pinter, Đorđević and Đurčik played well.
