Three goals from Kitli in the rain - Senta vs. Krivaja (87/88)

It rained throughout, the pitch was slippery, and the two teams fought out a proper league match. As in the derby a week earlier, the yellow-and-blues played attacking football to the end, kept control and allowed no upset. Besides Kitli's three goals they missed another three or four clear chances. A capable Krivaja side were by no means outclassed either: they had three good openings, which goalkeeper Markov dealt with using all his experience. Kitli lifted the ball over from a promising position as early as the 3rd minute, but in the 12th Paku released him down the right and he dribbled past several Krivaja players, the goalkeeper included, to put Senta ahead. Soon afterwards a dangerous counter left the home goal under threat, but Markov saved three times in a row. Senta took charge again, and in the 30th minute Paku, the club's great young hope, once more found Kitli with a fine ball and he beat Rađenović again. Two minutes later a half-height Paku shot from 20 metres came back off the left-hand post, and in the 38th the Krivaja defenders cleared his ball off the goal line.

The hosts' attacks remained the more mature and dangerous after the break, yet the visitors pulled one back in the 52nd minute through Žigić, from a counter-attack that looked harmless. Kitli set the final score with his third goal in the 60th minute.
