The game began with a strong Senta attack and the visitors' goal was in danger in the very first minute. In the 3rd minute Čolović II scored with an unstoppable shot from 16 metres after a pass from Medenica. Senta kept up the pressure and in the 14th minute, after a cross from Fajka and a scramble in front of goal, the alert Kurfis made it 2:0. The visitors could not mount a dangerous attack in the first half, the play was almost entirely in their half, and their most dangerous forward, Soros, was completely neutralised by the Senta defence, for which Buza deserves particular credit. In the 33rd minute the TSK goalkeeper turned a fierce shot from Fajka away for a corner, but a minute later Fajka dribbled past five or six players and scored a splendid goal from about five metres.
The picture changed somewhat in the second half and the teams were more evenly matched, but the play became scrappy. Senta had a few more good chances, but the visiting goalkeeper was in excellent form, and even then the Temerin side did not seriously threaten Galler's goal. Senta's win was never in doubt. Buza was the best player on the pitch, with Čolović II and Roganović also standing out.
