Three goals in Kanjiža - Potisje vs. Senta (82/83)

The meeting of the sides from the two Tisa towns did not live up to its billing as an eternal derby this time: both played below their ability and the shivering spectators saw poor football. The match began with the hosts slightly on top, but their sluggish attacks petered out at the edge of the box. Once the visitors saw they had nothing to fear they grew bolder, and from a counter-attack Pašić put them ahead with a spectacular volley.

The hosts tried to equalise, but their forwards were inaccurate. After the break Senta scored a second, after which the home side resembled a routed army. Pašić set the final score in the 68th minute, collecting the ball behind an advanced defence and having no trouble beating the goalkeeper as he came out.
