Three headed goals in sweltering heat - Senta vs. Horgoš (82/83)

In sweltering heat and at a moderate tempo Senta earned a deserved win. The under-strength Horgoš side only had the legs for the first part of the match, when it mostly defended and tried the occasional quick counter. In the 17th minute Nikola Zmukić hesitated with a clear chance, and goalkeeper Kmec then only just saved a Roganović shot. The lead came in the 32nd minute: a defender could only stop Roganović's cross from the right with his hand inside the box, and Kitli converted the penalty. Before the break, after a corner, a header from the visitors' left winger went inches over the bar.

Senta were completely dominant after the interval. After Roganović and Farago combined, the well-placed Barna headed the second, and Farago then made it 3:0 from a Roganović corner with a diving header of rare beauty. In the 67th minute Kitli scored the fourth with a similarly fine header. The hosts then eased off and Marković got his side's consolation from a free kick. Markov was unbeatable for the rest of the match, and Todorović shot inches over the bar from a tight angle.
