Three leads, then penalties decide - Čantavir vs. Senta (90/91)

The Čantavir crowd saw a good, exciting match in which both sides showed plenty of fight. Senta started slightly the better. In the 23rd minute Fustos waited for the ball, turned and made it 0:1. The hosts could have levelled in the 26th, but the shot from about eight metres was weak and straight at the goalkeeper. In the 30th minute the very quick Agoston shook off his marker for 0:2.

Two minutes later the hosts were awarded a penalty, which the very young Banjac placed elegantly. The second half had barely started when another penalty followed, and Banjac scored again to make it 2:2. The home joy was short-lived: Gajda struck in the 58th minute and Senta led for the third time. The lead lasted until the 70th, when Pesti equalised once more with a fine header.

A drawn match was followed by penalties, and under the rules of the time only the winner of the shootout took a point. The hosts were the more accurate, 6:5.
