Three past Obilić to end the autumn - Senta vs. Obilić (80/81)

The crowd of 400 did not see the usual, real Tisa derby. The home supporters were happy with three goals but less so with their team's play, having seen it perform far better, though they had expected more from Obilić too. There is no denying that the Senta lads were driven by the wish to avenge their defeat in the cup. The visitors tried very hard, but their attacks were disorganised and mostly got no further than the edge of the box. The hosts were somewhat more dangerous, as nine corners to three confirm. Seven yellow cards, four of them for the visitors, show that the players sometimes overstepped the bounds of fair play.

The hosts took more of the initiative throughout; for over twenty minutes play was in the visitors' half, and with more cleverness the home forwards could have scored twice. The lead took 38 minutes to arrive: Todorović took a ball played forward from midfield and sent it straight into the box, where the well-placed Vukmirović headed it in. The second half began with the visitors slightly on top, and in the first seven minutes they might have scored from two goalmouth scrambles, but that was as far as their strength took them. In the 73rd minute Ivica Zmukić turned in a Todorović corner, and in the 80th Todorović, combining with Vukmirović, added the third with a mid-height thunderbolt of rare quality.
