Three past the leaders in the rain - Senta vs. Sever (97/98)

The yellow-and-blues rose to the occasion against the leaders too, with football that was both attractive and effective. The first half was a contest between two evenly matched sides, the hosts missing two big chances and the visitors attacking dangerously but without result.

After the break Senta stepped up a gear and were soon rewarded: in the 68th minute Šujić seized on a ball played into the goalmouth and shot unstoppably without a second thought. The goal hit the leaders like a cold shower - they grew nervous and began to make mistakes. In the 85th minute the hosts earned a deserved penalty, which Harmat converted.

The third goal was set up by the talented Ikić, who went past several players on the left and found Stepanov, and he threaded the ball through a crowded defence. The visitors hit the post in the last minute.
