Three red cards and an 88th-minute goal in Mol - Bačka vs. Senta (85/86)

The hosts took control at the start and were the more enterprising side until about the 20th minute. In the second part of the half Senta played faster and with more imagination, and the result was some attractive football. In the first half each team had three or four chances from which, with a little ingenuity, a goal might have come.

Bačka improved after the break, and a Pozsgai shot and a Mrđanov chance drew applause from the crowd. In the 52nd minute Toth released Šurla, who was fouled in the box by Đurović, and Pozsgai put the penalty away with confidence. The atmosphere then became rather heated and the referee showed three red cards: first Agoston left the field for striking Vorgić, and not long afterwards referee Nikolić sent Šurla and Roganović to the dressing room after they squared up to each other. He also handed out three yellow cards, to Stašić, Nikolić and Farago. For the next twenty minutes neither side created a serious chance. In the 76th minute a Senta cross bounced on to Eberhart's hand and the referee pointed straight to the spot; Farago converted. Two evenly matched teams battled it out in the time that remained, but the hosts wanted the win more and fought harder, while the visitors seemed to settle for the draw in the closing minutes. Two minutes from time, after an unexpected cross, Turi broke free and scored past a surprised Dukai.
