In a match of average quality the hosts only proved after the break that they were the better side than Kanjiža's combative veterans. They could have led as early as the 8th minute, but Z. Matok shot wide from five metres with the goal at his mercy. After Gyatko's goal in the 17th minute the next took forty minutes to come, Gvozdenović's shot to the far corner going in off the inside of the post.

The visitors then retreated into defence, to no avail. In the 78th minute substitute Krnjac scored from 25 metres, and in the 83rd Belec completed the scoring after a solo run.
