Title derby abandoned at 5:0 - Senta vs. Jedinstvo (96/97)

The derby between the two Tisa sides began as a title decider should, the ball bouncing around first one penalty area and then the other. The hosts struck first, the crowd applauding an unstoppable shot from Z. Matok as early as the 4th minute. The visitors then turned to rough play, and in the 16th minute Ostojić was sent off for two yellow cards. Gyatko replaced the injured Marović and scored the second with a fine header.

From the 34th minute the hosts were completely on top - Belec beat Galuš with a masterly low shot, and after the break came another Gyatko header and a Belec penalty.

In the 76th minute Rakić received a second yellow card for another foul, and Gombašev then went for referee Havar and struck him several times. In agreement with the match delegate the referee abandoned the game, which the competition committee will in all likelihood award to the hosts.
