Todorović and Markov deliver victory in Palić - Palić vs. Senta (81/82)

The Palić supporters had not seen a match of this quality for a long time. The visitors attacked furiously from the first minutes, and it was clear at once that they were after at least a point. They went ahead in the 7th minute from an attack down the right: the ball came via Sipos to Todorović, who had no trouble scoring from a few metres.

In the 33rd minute Sipos illegally stopped a home attack inside the box and the referee pointed to the spot without hesitation, but Markov dived to turn Azucki's kick away for a corner. Palić then won eight corners in a row without converting any, as the assured Markov and Rozsa, the best of the visiting defence, dealt with everything. After the break Senta protected their lead and might have added to it: in the 73rd minute a Todorović corner flew two metres in front of goal with nobody getting a touch. On what was seen, the visitors deserved both points.
