Todorović hat-trick in the town derby - Žitopromet vs. Senta (86/87)

The town derby attracted great interest, and the 400 or so spectators, half of them Senta supporters, did not regret coming: for the full 90 minutes they watched football played at a good tempo. The match opened with attacks at both ends but no serious chances. After eighteen minutes of sparring Senta began to open up and won a corner from a well-started attack. Soon afterwards Kontić touched the ball with a raised arm inside the Žitopromet box, but the referee, although close by, waved play on. Senta's pressure grew: two minutes later Đurović missed a big chance, and the forwards were then late to an excellent Kis Bicskei cross. A goal was coming, and it arrived in the 30th minute, when Todorović scored from a twenty-metre free kick, his shot brushing the head of Žitopromet left-back Gomolya on the way. Until the break the play stayed in the home half, the hosts defended with everything they had, and in the 44th minute goalkeeper Gyolai needed all his skill to keep out a fierce Agoston shot.

Žitopromet played in a slightly more organised way for a while after the interval, but Todorović completed his hat-trick in the 74th and 88th minutes. Stančić scored the hosts' consolation a minute from time.
