Todorović's opener not enough in the derby - Bačka vs. Senta (80/81)

The league derby ended after a great battle in a 2:1 home win, and the good-sized crowd saw a real league match, with the stakes leaving their mark on both teams' play. Although Bačka were the favourites, Senta showed from the first minutes that they would not give up the points easily. The visitors' first real chance came in the 19th minute, but N. Zmukić shot wide, and four minutes later Štrbački fired over.

Senta went ahead in the 29th minute (the report mentions the 27th at one point): Todorović did superbly to shake off his markers and, face to face with goalkeeper Koprivica, drove the ball in from some 16 metres. Bačka's equaliser was a story in itself: in a great goalmouth scramble the ball went from foot to foot inside the visitors' box for some fifteen seconds, then came off one player and rolled along the goal line. Ivan Zmukić tried to clear, but in the linesman's view the ball had already crossed the line, and the referee pointed to the centre. Rimac scored the winner in the 73rd minute.
