To the delight of their supporters, the Obilić players finally found their stride at home as well: after four away wins they recorded their second home victory. Their success is not diminished by the fact that Senta had been on tour in the Soviet Union and the fatigue showed in their players. Obilić went ahead through Milunović. After that Senta did more of the attacking, and four minutes before half-time Kovacs equalised. In the 43rd minute, after a superbly struck Vignjević free kick, the ball was in Novak's net again.
Ivošević shone after the break, scoring twice, and from then on the question of the winner was never in doubt.
