It was a match of average quality in which the hosts were better than their opponents from Ljutovo in every respect, even though they were without four mainstays: Barna and Dukai were injured, while Birkas and Potpara were suspended for yellow cards. The visitors took the lead, but their joy lasted only ten minutes, as Nikolić equalised from a well-organised counter-attack. After a bad defensive error the visitors went back in front with a soft goal and took that lead into the break.
The picture changed completely in the second half. The hosts quickly drew level and then turned the score round. The closing stages were stormy: in the 87th minute the referee sent off the visitors' right-back Matić and Senta's left-back Todorović after the two squared up to each other. The visitors took the decision badly and the match was held up for a few minutes, before it resumed and was completed without further trouble.
