Twice ahead against the leaders - Senta vs. Krivaja (00/01)

The leaders very nearly came unstuck on the opening day of the spring: Senta led twice during the match. The youthful drive was not quite enough in the end, and on the evidence a fair draw was the outcome.

Senta will build on their own home-grown players through the spring as well:

- Twenty of our 28 players are still eligible for the youth team, so most of the time we only decide right before a match who runs out with which side. The two squads train together, and against more experienced teams we want to compete through good physical conditioning. We feel this is the right path in our present situation, and the first spring result bears that out. The feedback is good, the supporters were satisfied with what they saw - said Jozsef Ozvegy, one of the team's coaches. He added that the club will hold its regular general assembly on 14 April, where personnel changes are all but certain, strengthening the board so that the club's finances can be put in order as soon as possible.
