Five goals, several clear chances missed at both ends, a moderate standard but a sporting match - that is perhaps how this game can be summed up. There is no denying that the Senta players were driven by the wish to avenge their spring defeat in Čantavir and to show that they had more or less come through their crisis and meant to stay in the race with the best in the league. Čantavir, however, again proved a tough nut: the visitors knew what they wanted and showed it with spirited play. That they still lost after leading twice was partly down to their retreating into defence and partly to their hurried, disorganised play after Senta's equaliser.
Senta had other chances too: Kerleta was twice alone in front of goalkeeper Kuktin, from three and from five metres, and Kuktin, who was having a good day, saved both times. When Todorović broke into the box and was through on goal, he was fouled, and Štrbački converted the penalty. In the last five minutes Todorović and his team-mates staked everything and literally pinned the visitors to their own goal, which brought a win worth two very valuable points.
