On a slippery, sodden pitch the Zrenjanin side put on an excellent display and deservedly won. The opening goal came as early as the 5th minute, when the home centre-forward scored from about 10 metres. Five minutes later Milankov volleyed an ideal cross from 18 metres into the bottom left corner. After the quick lead the teams were evenly matched for half an hour.
After the break the hosts again ran the game and missed several big chances. The visitors took their only one: Krizsan broke down the right, dribbled past three or four defenders and sent in a sharp shot from 20 metres, and the wet, slippery ball went in off the goalkeeper. After the goal the game was even again. Božić, Szorcsik, Krizsan and Fenyszarosi stood out for Senta.
