Against a capable but rather over-aggressive Orešković side the team showed great unity - almost every player knew his job and did it in exemplary fashion. The defence had no easy task against the visitors' tall forwards, and Š. Bilić came close in the very first minute. Both goals were under fire for twenty minutes before the hosts went ahead: goalkeeper Majer tried to clear a back-pass with his foot, but Gajda was on it in a flash and put it in the net.
The second goal followed twelve minutes later. From a free kick 30 metres out Todorović picked out Roganović superbly, and he volleyed in from 14 metres.
After the break the visitors threw everything forward and attacked dangerously, the hosts replied in kind, and the play was lively, though both defences held firm. In the 80th minute Radak shot a whisker wide from ten metres. Orešković were awarded a penalty in the 83rd, but Vitković saved Š. Bilić's kick superbly, and two minutes later he kept out another big chance. In the 87th minute Todorović let a Đurović cross run, and the alert Gajda completed the scoring.
