It was not a match of particular quality, but it was an entertaining one. The first half belonged to the hosts, who created a number of big chances, and the otherwise very mobile and dangerous Kitli led the way in wasting them. The visitors, as if thrown by the early goal, could find no answer to the home attacks. The goals came from attractive moves. In the 3rd minute Đurović picked the ball up a good 40 metres out and strolled through the defence while Kitli drew the markers away, before lifting it elegantly over goalkeeper Crnković. After several missed chances, in the 27th minute Csuzdi found Hun, the Senta midfielder delivered a superb ball into the box and Kitli met it with an even better header into the right corner.
Another quick goal came at the start of the second half: in the 48th minute Paku volleyed a loose ball and Đurović glanced it into the corner with a clever header. Then Senta stopped. Farago and Agoston both went off injured, and the absence of playmaker Ivan Farago in particular was felt. Nine minutes later Suturović, from a good 18 metres out on the left, placed a precise shot into the bottom corner. Čantavir then pinned Senta back in their own half, but the veteran Markov did his job superbly in the closing stages. Once the visitors had run out of steam, Kitli added the fourth in the 90th minute: Csuzdi lofted a fine ball to the edge of the box, and Kitli brought it down masterfully and lifted it over the advancing Lengyel.
