Two goals in the first home match of the spring - Senta vs. ŽAK (92/93)

In cold, windy weather and on a slippery pitch the match was of average quality. Even so, the hosts produced an encouraging display, created plenty of chances and took important points. With some fine moves they controlled the game almost throughout, yet of five clear chances in the first half they took only one: in the 6th minute Tanasković scored after combining with Rudics. The visitors did not create a single chance in that period - their occasional counter-attacks got no further than the penalty area, and the Senta defence proved impenetrable.

The second half began with a storm of home attacks, though the visiting defence was now somewhat better organised. Even so the second goal took only ten minutes, Rudics scoring with a superb finish in the 55th. Senta's continued superiority brought nothing more: further chances came, three of them gilt-edged, but neither Simendić nor Rudics could take them.
