Two goals in three minutes in the town derby - Senta vs. Žitopromet (91/92)

In fine weather the crowd expected better football. Almost the whole match was a midfield affair with Senta slightly on top, Žitopromet mostly defending and occasionally launching harmless counter-attacks. In the 15th minute a Roganović shot struck the crossbar. Five minutes later the visitors put together a good move, Molnar playing in Kovacs, but he was a moment late and the defence cleared.

In the 43rd minute Žitopromet inside-left Budai was sent off for retaliation. Even a man down the visitors had another opening through Molnar, but the defenders caught him. Just before the break Arokszallasi made a fine save from a 30-metre Bulatović drive.

The second half was no better. The first event of note came in the 65th minute: after a bad mistake by the Žitopromet defence Elezović went clear, rounded the advancing goalkeeper and scored. Straight afterwards Senta attacked down the left, Csuzdi was fouled in the box, and Rudics converted the penalty. Neither side played to its ability.
