In very cold weather and occasional rain the derby disappointed the crowd of some 500, above all because the home side was unrecognisable: it had the territorial advantage for ninety minutes yet created hardly a serious chance in front of Markov's goal. The visitors used their opportunities cleverly and scored twice from dangerous counter-attacks. In the 11th minute, on the break, the goalkeeper could only parry a powerful I. Zmukić shot and Kitli ran in to bundle the ball home. The unexpected lead visibly shook the hosts, and the second goal was not long in coming: in the 21st minute Roganović got away on the right and lifted the ball in under the bar.
After the break only Pozsgai posed a threat for the hosts, but Markov was in great form, and in the 75th minute he also made a sensational save from Bokodi, who was through one-on-one. The visitors had their best chance in the 78th minute, when the forwards shot several times and the ball was finally cleared off the line. Senta deserved their win.
