Two Kerleta goals secure the title - Železničar vs. Senta (79/80)

With their win over Železničar Senta finally secured first place in the table. The victory came from two goals for which the hosts claimed offside. In the 25th minute Racsmany dribbled past several visiting players and fed Bačlija superbly, and he beat Markov. The hosts did not enjoy the lead for long, as in the 38th minute Todorović went past several Železničar players and passed from the left to Kerleta, who found the net. The linesman did not flag and the referee allowed the goal.

The pace did not drop after the change of ends, and both teams went for the win. In the 78th minute the ball came to Kerleta, who scored again, and once more the linesman kept his flag down. After Senta went 2:1 up there was a brief scuffle, but the referee, who otherwise handled the match excellently, quickly calmed tempers. Kerleta and Todorović stood out for Senta.
