In a match of poor quality both teams played very badly and the spectators were far from happy with what they saw. The hosts could take satisfaction only from the hoped-for turnaround, a win that kept both points at home. On chances, though, sharper finishing would have made it far more emphatic: besides the two quick goals the Senta forwards missed at least six clear opportunities. The home side's play pleased the crowd only in the opening stages. The first goal came in the 4th minute, when the well-placed Nikolić turned an Olajos cross unstoppably into the net. Two minutes later another attack followed: Petrović won the ball in the visitors' half and played it long, Agoston ran on and quickly crossed, and there was Nikolić again. The goalkeeper parried his first shot, but the forward, who was carrying an injury yet fighting with great determination, made no mistake with the second: 2:0. In the 22nd minute Nikolić could have had a third from an Agoston cross, but the ball went inches past the post. Graničar's first dangerous attack came in the 30th minute, when a bad mistake in the home defence let Janković in, but his shot from the corner of the box flew over the bar.
The visitors took over after the break and the hosts faded badly. Graničar gained some territorial advantage and threatened several times without creating a real chance. Towards the end Senta took the initiative again and made several openings, which the forwards squandered one after another. The home side were nevertheless slightly the better team and deserved their win.
