The two teams met in a gale, in rain and on a slippery pitch, so little about the match beyond the result deserves mention, as the football was poor. The visitors concentrated mainly on defending and running down the clock. Apart from the goal, almost nothing happened in the first half: Agoston got away on the right and the well-placed Farago met his cross with a diving header.
After the change of ends the visitors had the wind at their backs and held the upper hand for a long spell. They could have equalised through Ivančević, but his shot missed by inches. Senta scored their second on the counter: Nikolić crossed into the Sokolac goalmouth and Agoston volleyed past Pešut. The goal lifted the hosts, who regained territorial control and created several more chances. The two points keep Senta in the race for the title.
