The match began with home attacks and there was danger in front of the visitors' goal as early as the 3rd minute, Todorović volleying a Barna cross a hair's breadth wide. Štrbački then shot twice without success. An attack begun in the 21st minute brought a goal: Popović took the ball off an opponent, headed for goal and, after a one-two with Štrbački, shot at mid-height into the left corner. The visitors' goal remained under almost constant siege, but even the clearest chances went begging. In the last minute of the half there was a real barrage in front of the visitors' goal, but the goalkeeper saved everything.
Early in the second half, in its 2nd and 3rd minutes, Kalman could not score even from clear positions. The visitors then went on the attack, as the home forwards could not hold the ball, and in the 22nd minute of the half Krišanov, past a dozing defence, shot into the top right corner of Markov's goal, a very fine goal. From then on the hosts attacked more dangerously: in the 26th minute a scramble followed a corner and Rozsa found the net through a forest of legs, and in the 30th Popović took the ball and shot unstoppably from some 20 metres. After that it was only midfield play. The win was deserved and could have been bigger. Soti, Popović and Krivokapić were the best.
