Victory over Sokolac in a rough match - Senta vs. Sokolac (85/86)

The meeting of two rivals was marked by rough play, which is why no quality football developed. The visitors were the main culprits, and the referee was not up to the task either: he was often too lenient and tolerated the rough stuff, which the visitors exploited. The Sokolac players frequently argued with him, so that play sometimes stopped for minutes at a time. The visitors began with several dangerous attacks, but their superiority lasted only until the 3rd minute, when Senta took charge: Agoston ran on to a long ball and was brought down in the box. Farago took the penalty; Pešut parried his shot, but Farago made no mistake at the second attempt. Sokolac then launched numerous attacks, but after some ten minutes Senta took control again, won three corners in four minutes, and the defenders only just managed to turn an Agoston shot behind. In the 29th minute Ljubojević won a corner and R. Ivančević put the delivery in past a sleeping defence.

Farago twice had chances but his aim was off. Before the break came the hosts' second goal, Nikolić driving the ball into the net without a second thought. Senta were on top after the break, but there were no more goals: in the 52nd minute a Zmukić shot went wide, and Agoston, Lakatos and Farago then missed the chances that came their way.
