Victory with ten men - Senta vs. Preporod (87/88)

In a match of average quality Senta won with more difficulty than expected, and the refereeing played its part: the home players were booked for the slightest offence, and Hun was sent off for dissent towards the end of the first half. Senta attacked fiercely from the first whistle, and Rozsa missed a clear chance in the very first minute. The hosts' slight edge continued, but it was not until the 20th minute that Stantić had the next opportunity to put them ahead, and he could not take it. The visitors from Novi Žednik had settled by then, though the home defence stopped their attacks at the edge of the box. In the 40th minute a Hun drive from 40 metres came back off the crossbar, but nobody followed up the rebound.

The picture changed after the break. A man down, Senta fought with everything they had and mounted several dangerous attacks, which brought a goal in the 53rd minute: Rozsa set up Potpara, who found the top left corner. The pressure continued and in the 59th minute a Kitli header came back off the crossbar, with Rozsa on to the rebound but goalkeeper Anitić well placed. A minute later the visitors were level: Katona tried to head a cross on, misdirected it and the ball ended up in his own net. The unlucky goal did not shake the hosts. In the 79th minute a fierce Csuzdi shot grazed the bar, and a minute later Kitli headed in under the crossbar from some ten metres to make it 2:1. The visitors hardly created a single real chance.
