The game started with home attacks, and they paid off as early as the 3rd minute: Farkas burst down the right and whipped in a cross, which D. Vukobrat headed in from seven metres. Senta stayed on the front foot but could not add to the lead, as Jović, D. Vukobrat and Kurtušić all failed to take their chances.

The game lost some of its intensity in the second half, but the hosts kept the initiative. First D. Vukobrat and then Popov missed excellent chances, so it stayed 1:0.
