The match was played in cold, windy conditions that made the ball almost impossible to control. The wind favoured Jadran in the first half; they had the upper hand and forced corner after corner, yet the score did not change until the 39th minute. The visitors had three or four chances of their own in that time, and the hosts had goalkeeper Racsmany to thank for keeping them out. In the 39th minute Dabčević floated in a free kick, Bede played it on to Milanović, and he scored as he fell.
After the break the wind was behind the visitors. Senta took the initiative and Petrik equalised from close range in the 51st minute. Jadran went back in front in the 60th, when a loose ball dropped to D. Miranović, who could not miss from two metres. The man of the match, R. Milanović, exchanged passes with D. Miranović in the 84th minute and shot into the bottom right corner. Right at the end D. Miranović released substitute Tadić, who sent Bontovics the wrong way and lifted the ball over him for 4:1.
