Senta had the better of the first half and took the lead in the 31st minute after a quick counter-attack from Đukić, who all but served the ball to Matić by hand, and Matić finished the move with a precise grounded shot. Matić also had very promising chances in the 7th and 10th minutes, while for the visitors Trivković, and then Zečević, tried their luck, with Zečević's counter-attack bravely cut out by the Senta goalkeeper. In the second half came a shock for the hosts: the visitors found their wings and equalized at 1-1. Zečević and Ivković combined with a one-two, and Zečević finished the move with a shot into the far corner. In the 64th minute referee Papišta awarded a penalty to the visitors, judging that Popov had handled the ball - Trivković aimed for the top left corner and found it. Bačka's initiative continued, and they extended their lead through a Zečević header. Two minutes before the end, Senta capitalized on a major error by goalkeeper Nikola Studen to score their second goal, but it wasn't enough to equalize and salvage a point. Playing conditions were excellent, and Bačka proved dangerous on the counter-attack and solid in midfield.
