Minimal win over Dinamo (P) (13/14)

A lively derby between two excellent sides was played on a slippery, rain-soaked pitch. The main battle was fought in midfield, with the home side edging it by the finest of margins. The only goal came in the 21st minute: man of the match Ognjen Đuričin led a quick counter-attack, and Aleksandar Stojanovski, trying to stop him, clumsily handled the ball. Referee Pantović pointed to the spot without hesitation, and Marko Spahić converted, sending it low into the left corner. Matić also had another promising chance, while for the visitors Rakić headed narrowly wide. The second half continued at a strong tempo, with both sides looking for a goal. The hosts came closest in the 57th minute, when Spahić fired wide from 5 meters. Dinamo left a solid impression as a team, earning repeated applause even from neutral supporters. Senta are currently playing the best football in the league - growing more assured with every round, and the most complete side in midfield. If a Serbian League Vojvodina representative XI were being picked right now, Nemanja Bošković, Ognjen Đuričin, Marjan Cvetković and Lazar Popov would certainly be part of the selected squad.
